STLRUG July Learning Event

Come join us for the St. Louis Revit User Group July 2019 Learning event. This event is focused on the number one requested topic from the User Survey that we did at the beginning of the year:

Revit Advanced Family Creation

We will be taking a deeper dive into the Family Creation Process and will showcase some of the more advanced functions of Family development, including nested components, formulas, Type Catalogs, Adaptive Components and nested arrays.

If you are new to Revit Family Building, please see the download link below to a handout of Revit Family Creation basics that you should read and become familiar with before the event. We will spend the first 15 minutes or so reviewing concepts in the handout and asking for any questions before we move into the advanced concepts.

Where is it going down?

Paric's office is Suite 250 and is on the same floor as the front entrance to the Westport building. Park in the front surface parking lot and come in through the main front doors. We will have a greeter to meet you there to get you access into Paric's office.

Learning Event Start - Family basics review

We will kick the session off with a quick review of some of the basics of Family Creation.

6:30pm-7:20pm

Advanced Family Review

We will then take a deeper dive and dissect some fairly advanced families and the concepts behind their creation.

7:20pm-8:00pm

Space Planning Family Concepts & Q and A

Brian Myers and Ellen Smith will showcase some of their preliminary Space planning concept families, and then we will wrap up with any Questions on the subject matter.
